The University of Baltimore School of Law’s Journal of Land and Development is seeking publishable work for its Volume 6 2016-2017 edition.
The Journal of Land and Development is one of few national legal journals that focuses on property and environmental law. The publication covers urban, suburban and rural issues involving land use, environmental preservation, economic development, redevelopment and community development, as well as real estate transactions and matters concerning finance, property, civil rights, human rights, civil liberties, and state and local government. The Journal is published in digital format with major electronic sources such as LexisNexis, Westlaw and HeinOnline, Bloomberg Law, and ScholarWorks. Consequently, the Journal reaches a wide audience and is read by a number of legal professionals.
Articles covering legal developments in areas of property, land use, construction, urban development, environmental law and related fields will be considered. Given the Journal’s cross-disciplinary focus, the publication requirements are flexible in regards to the length and topic of the articles chosen for publication. The Journal’s priority is to promote legal scholarship and stimulate academic excellence in the expanding area of legal practice. Thus, there is no minimum page requirement for submissions. Articles must be formatted to legal publication standards and include footnotes with legal citations.
Please submit articles and a current resume via email to JLD@ubalt.edu. Articles submitted for consideration are encouraged to be submitted in .doc format. At least one submitting author must be a legal professional for an article to be considered for publication.
The deadline for publication in our Spring 2017 issue is March 15, 2017. Articles submitted after March 15th may be considered for publication in the following semester.
Thank you very much, and we look forward to reading your submissions!
