CCJLS invites submissions for a special issue on police violence, protests, and violent extremism. Papers should address topic areas that help understand the intersection of systematic racism in criminal justice, police violence, protests, and violent extremism will be considered. Topic areas include police use of force, protests and politics, body-worn cameras, crisis intervention and de-escalation, far-right or far-left extremist violence, the defund the police movement, police abolition, criminal justice reform, and/or related topics. Authors of papers will be invited to submit videotaped lightning talks on key findings for inclusion in the special issue.
The deadline for submissions is December 15th, 2020.
