University of Memphis Law Review: Call for submissions for Symposium and Special Issue, The Fragile Fortress: Judicial Independence in the 21st Century

The University of Memphis Law Review invites submissions of articles for presentation at its 2017 Symposium and for publication in Vol. 47, No. 4 of the Law Review (Spring 2017). The 2017 Symposium, The Fragile Fortress: Judicial Independence in the 21st Century, will be held Friday, April 7, 2017, bringing together voices from the bench (federal and state), academy, and bar. Aspects of judicial independence of key interest to us are separation of powers (particularly, though not exclusively, at the federal level) and the strains on decisional independence caused by popular (particularly partisan) election of judges.
