Call for Submissions — Maine Law Review, Volume 79
The Maine Law Review invites authors to submit scholarly articles for consideration in Volume 79, to be published in Winter/Fall 2026. We welcome submissions from scholars, practitioners, judges, and policymakers on a wide range of legal topics, with particular interest in issues relevant to Maine and New England.
Manuscript Format
The Journal prefers manuscripts in 12-point font, double-spaced.
Length Guidelines
We encourage submissions over 10,000 words, including text and footnotes.
Citation Format
Please use footnotes rather than endnotes, conforming to the 22nd Edition of The Bluebook (whitepages). Authors are encouraged to include at least 145 footnotes.

Articles should be submitted via Scholastica or by email to MLReditor@maine.edu.
Due Date
Priority consideration will be given to submissions received by April 1, 2026, though articles are accepted on a rolling basis. Early submissions are strongly encouraged.
